Your network, inside the AI you already use
You're in Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini, researching a company, drafting outreach, prepping a meeting. Your network, the thing that would make all of that better, is in another app. The Goodword MCP removes the wall: connect once, and your AI can search your contacts, read your notes, check your reminders, create groups, and draft outreach with full relationship context, right in the conversation.
This is also where the batch work happens. "Draft follow-ups for everyone I met at the conference last week" is one sentence instead of an hour of tab-switching.

Gemini
Gemini's chat app doesn't accept custom connectors yet, so you connect through the free Gemini CLI instead:
Install the Gemini CLI, then run:
gemini mcp add --transport http goodword https://mcp.goodword.com/mcp
Start
geminiand sign in with your Goodword credentials when prompted. The CLI handles the sign-in flow automatically.
You are now connected! Try asking: "What can I do with the Goodword MCP?"
Also works in: Claude Code (claude mcp add --transport http goodword https://mcp.goodword.com/mcp), Cursor, and VS Code. Add a remote MCP server and paste the same URL.
The exact, current click-path for every client is always on your Settings → MCP page in Goodword.
What your AI can do once connected
Everything works through plain conversation, no commands to memorize. Under the hood, Claude gets a full toolkit of Goodword tools:
Search your network. "Who do I know at Series A fintech companies?" and pull any contact's full profile.
Read and write notes. "What do I know about Dana Chen?" / "Add a note: she's exploring a COO role."
Manage reminders. List what's due, create new ones in plain language ("remind me to send Marcus the proposal Friday").
Get your recommendations. This week's cards, with the reasons.
Work with groups. Create groups, add people, list members.
Handle shared group intros. See intro requests from shared groups, draft and create introductions.
File a debrief. Tell Claude what happened in a meeting and it's captured in Goodword like any other debrief: notes filed, commitments extracted.
Goodword workflows for Claude (downloadable skills from the same settings page) add ready-made routines like Network Review, Meeting Prep, and Debrief.
The real unlock: Goodword + your other tools
Your AI can use Goodword together with every other connector you've added, so your network stops being a separate app and becomes part of workflows that span all your tools. That's where it compounds:
Know who you know at any company you research. Web search connected → "who in my network knows anyone at [company]?" as you dig into them.
Walk into every meeting briefed. Calendar connected → "brief me on everyone in tomorrow's meetings," and Goodword supplies the relationship history for each attendee.
Wake up to your day already assembled. Notion connected or task manager → "every morning, compile my Goodword reminders and recommendations into my daily doc."
Automate post-event follow-ups. After an event → "find everyone I met at [event] in Goodword, research what their companies do, and draft a personalized follow-up for each."
What people use it for
Investor prep and batch follow-up. Before a partner meeting: "Pull everything Goodword knows about the people on tomorrow's call, and research their recent investments." After a conference: "Create a group from everyone I met this week and draft a follow-up for each that mentions what we discussed." An hour of outreach becomes ten minutes.
A no-training assistant that knows your customers. "Which customers haven't I talked to in three months? Draft a check-in for the top five." "Add a note to Tom's Hardware: renewing the contract in September." You never have to learn the app deeply. You just ask.
Pre-meeting briefs and needs-and-leads matching. Before every client call: "Brief me on this account: my notes, our history, open commitments." For BD: "Cross-reference my network against companies that just raised. Who could use a fractional CFO, and what's my warmest path in?" That analysis used to be an afternoon; now it's a prompt.
End-to-end pitch workflows. "We're pitching [company]. Who in my network is connected to them? What do my notes say? Draft the intro request." And the matching game agencies live on: "Look at my notes for what people need and what people offer. Who could I usefully introduce this week?" Being the person who makes those connections is the referral engine.
FAQ
Do I need to be technical to use the MCP? No. Paste one URL, sign in, then chat with AI normally.
Which apps does it work in? Claude (web and desktop), OpenAI, Gemini.
Can the AI send messages on my behalf? Goodword drafts; you send. Nothing goes out without you. (If you've connected a separate email tool to your AI, sends go through that tool with your confirmation.)
Is my network data safe? Yes. The connection is authorized through your Goodword sign-in and only accesses your own account. Revoke it any time from your Claude connector settings.
I installed the old version with an API key. What now? Remove the old extension and add the remote connector above. It's the current, supported path and there's no key to manage.
Does what I do with the MCP show up in Goodword's web app? Notes, reminders, groups, and debriefs created through the MCP appear in Goodword instantly.
Next: connect it, then ask Claude, "Who in my Goodword network haven't I talked to in 60 days that maps to my current goals?" That one prompt shows you what this is. Then see Your daily Goodword for how your network in the assistant fits alongside the daily digest.
