Which email do I sign up with, personal or work? Personal. Goodword is built to follow your whole career, not one job. Your network is yours; it goes where you go. You can add more accounts later (like your work email) for extra context, so start personal and layer the rest on.
What platforms is Goodword on? Goodword works wherever you work: the web app (app.goodword.com), chat with Goodword by text or email, or your favorite AI tool (Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini).
Is Goodword available outside the US? The US today; more regions are on the way.
Is the LinkedIn connection safe? It was built carefully from day one: the connection runs through a trusted infrastructure partner with deliberate rate limits. If you'd rather not connect directly, upload LinkedIn's own data export instead. Full guide: Add your LinkedIn connections via data export.
I don't use LinkedIn much (or at all). Is Goodword still useful? Yes. Email, calendar, Google Contacts, Granola, X, Instagram, and CSV imports build the network without LinkedIn. Plenty of members run primarily on email and calendar.
How do I transition from my existing CRM? Two ways: export your CRM to a CSV and upload it (guide: Import your contacts from a CSV), or connect the Goodword MCP and ask your favorite AI tool (Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini) to create the contacts for you. Both bring your people in as real, enriched contacts.
I just enabled my integrations, but search isn't returning much yet. Why? Goodword is still enriching your data. Check back in an hour or so and search will be much better. Search and every feature keep getting better as more data flows in, so turn on all your integrations right away, and use Text with Goodword to add context whenever you think of it.

How do I change my goals? Tell Goodword in AI chat ("my focus now is hiring senior engineers") and your goals update. Recommendations realign at the next Monday/Friday refresh.
How far back does Goodword import my history? It depends on the integration type. Most interaction sources let you choose how far back (1 year, 3 years, 5 years, or all time, adjustable in each Manage panel), while some sources import in full. See the Integrations article for how far each one goes. You can widen a window any time and Goodword backfills; wider is better for resurfacing dormant relationships.
Can anyone see my notes? No one. Notes are private to your account. They're never visible to the person they're about, and never included when you share a group or a contact.
What do people see when I share a group with them? The member list (names, roles, companies) via your link, until it expires (you pick 1 week to 90 days). They can request intros. They can't see your notes, edit the group, or browse the rest of your network. No account needed on their end.

Does Goodword ever send messages for me? Goodword will never automatically send a message without your explicit consent. It drafts; you review and send.
How do I cancel? Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription. Full steps: How to cancel a Goodword account. You keep access through your paid period.
Why are my recommendations empty? Two usual reasons: you cleared all three cards (the next set arrives Monday or Friday, and the countdown on screen says when), or you're new and Goodword is still importing and learning your network. Connect more sources and give it a day or two.
